This was my first Phillipa Gregory book and I have to admit I bought because this princess and I share the same name. Normally I don't like this kind of book but Gregory enchanted me, I felt in love with this princess and since I didn't knew her history at all I felt her pain and I suffered with her trough out the book.
The Constant Princess is no doubt a master piece and let's a very beautiful insight in a princess that was completely forgotten or otherwise seen as a steeping stone for Anne. Now Gregory doesn't say Catherine loved Henry, no, far from that, but she shows Catherine as a woman of her word and a woman who loved too much.
Until now one of my personal favourites by Phillipa Gregory.
